The game of musical chair for 'Shuddhi' continues
If the latest buzz is to be believed, Karan Johar is in discussion with Aamir Khan to star in his long-in-the-planning production 'Shuddhi'.
Karan Johar and Aamir Khan
Initially Hrithik Roshan was roped in to star in the film before Shah Rukh Khan was approached. Later, it was Ranveer Singh's turn to be wooed but now we hear the project has been taken to Aamir.
Says an insider, “Karan is still trying to lock the lead for his film and has recently shared the script of 'Shuddhi' with Aamir, but nothing has been finalised yet. Aamir has asked Karan to give him time to go through the script.”
Since the time Karan announced the film about a year ago, Shuddhi has been facing hiccups.
Interestingly, Karan has already announced the release date of the film — December 25, 2014 — on a social networking site, even though he hasn’t found his leading man yet.
KJo remained unavailable for comment.
Aamir Khan’s spokesperson maintained that the actor has not been approached for 'Shuddhi'.
