The Bombay High Court, on Saturday, asked the Mahara-shtra government to make public by June 2016 all bare basic laws of the state in Marathi for the benefit of litigants.
The directive was passed during the hearing of a public interest litigation.
“The issue (introduction of bare basic laws in Marathi) was raised way back in 1998 in a petition and we have given you (state) sufficient time to do the needful but nothing had been done so far,” said a bench headed by Justice Abhay Oka.
