There was an air of excitement in the room as a sizeable gathering waited for Brandon Bays, the international bestselling author of The Journey and a renowned mind-body healer. The venue was Param Yoga center on Dhole Patil Road.
Dressed in a beige kurta and salwar, Brandon Bays went on to share her life-transforming experience. Around two decades ago she was detected with a basketball size tumour and it was her determination to stay away from the surgeon’s scalpel that opened new doorways into cellular healing. She stumbled upon huge emotional blockages which were released thereby miraculously dissolving the tumour in six and a half weeks without medicines or surgery.
She tailored her own experiences to devise powerful cellular healing methods which encompass mind-body transformation and aptly named it The Journey method after her best-selling book. She is on her second seminar tour to India where she will be conducting an intensive workshop in Pune from November 30 to December 2.
“I feel a great connect with this country which has had masters like Ramana Maharshi,” said Bays. Her tryst with India is not new, it started in 1980s when she visited India and met her spiritual gurus. She had studied psychology and philosophy and was also practicing Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), acupressure and other forms of alternate healing. After 10 years of exploring various healing methods she opened a free healing center in New York where all kinds of alternate healing were offered.
“There I was, this perfect person with a perfect lifestyle and I was healing others. So, when I discovered that I had a tumour growing within me, there was an overwhelming sense of shame,” she recalls. Her world came tumbling down and she got what she now describes as her ‘wake-up call.’ Talking more about cellular healing, she says, “We all know that old cells die and new cells are born within our body.
Our skin renews itself every 21 days, our eyeballs every 48 hours and our liver every 6 weeks. So, if you have a liver problem today it should not exist six weeks from now because you practically have a brand new liver. Then what causes a disease to continue despite this constant renewal? When the old cell dies it transfers its memory to the new cell and the disease continues.
In The Journey method we teach people to intercept the cell memory which can release most emotional and physical blockages and healing happens.” The Journey has sold over 1 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 23 languages. Currently The Journey offers seminars and workshops in 38 countries.
