London: Dame Helen Mirren has criticised British television drama for majorly using young female actors to portray murder victims than men.

The veteran actress told the Observer while receiving the highest Bafta honour that she agreed with British playwright David Hare's views on the bloodthirsty nature of most drama on British TV and the clear sexual divide when it came to the corpses, the Guardian reported.
While Mirren said that most of those bodies are young women, Hare had said at the time that the body count in contemporary drama is just ridiculous.
