Kamlesh Mehta, the former India coach who is now a member of the national selection panel, revealed that table tennis faced a similar situation as wrestling for the 2012 London Olympics.
"I do not know the wrestling federation rules, but from a table tennis perspective, I can say that though Achanta Sharath Kamal was the best player, he failed to book a berth for the London Games. So, he didn't go. Since Narsingh has already qualified, I feel, from a general perspective he should deserves to go to Rio," he said.
