Germany striker Miroslav Klose became the all-time leading scorer in World Cup history when he found the net in the 7-1 semi-final victory over Brazil on Tuesday

Klose scored against Ghana in the group stages to get level at 15 goals with former Brazil striker Ronaldo. His record breaking 16th goal in the semi-final game against Brazil came in his 23rd world cup appearance.

Interestingly, Germany has never lost a game in which Klose has scored.

In another group game against Ecuador, the German found the net twice to help his team earn a 3-0 win over the South Americans

Quarter-final: Klose scored in the 80th minute to help Germany draw level against Argentina. Later, Germany won 4-2 on penalties to advance into the semis

Germany was eliminated by Italy in the semi-final. Klose's 5 goals earned him the Golden Boot at the 2006 World Cup
