Here's why Priyanka Chopra won't be seen doing slo-mo beach scenes in 'Baywatch'
Since Priyanka Chopra is essaying the character of a villain (Victoria) in her maiden Hollywood film, Baywatch, the actress won’t get her own slo-mo beach scenes, a US website reported. The popular ’90s TV show, on which the film is based, was known for the cast running in slow motion.
Priyanka in an interview to the website has stated, “My favourite memory about Baywatch is the music. That was my favourite part. It was like my calling. And to watch everyone run in slow motion.” Unfortunately, she will not be doing it.
PeeCee added, “My role in Quantico doesn’t help me as Victoria at all. Victoria doesn’t get her hands dirty, because she has a manicure. She’s like., ‘somebody else does all the dirty work’.”
The actress goes toe-to-toe with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, who play lifeguards, in the film. Johnson spilled a few details about the plot in a video on Instagram. “There’s a villain who’s got a gun pointed at me, but it’s not just any villain and it’s not just any person,” he says in the video. “There’s only one woman in the world who could handle this kind of pressure.” (Watch Video)
“Because evil never looked so good,” Chopra chimes in, popping up over Johnson’s shoulder.
