Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut 'xXx Return of Xander Cage' is releasing in India on January 14, a week earlier than the rest of the world. This, they say, is to give India a chance to catch the film first. Now if it had released on January 20 like elsewhere, the film would have had a rather short opening window of barely four days

On January 25, Bollywood's two big ticket films, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Raees' and Hrithik Roshan's 'Kaabil' will clash at the box office. These two will take over all the screens, leaving nothing for the rest.
Remember Irrfan Khan's 'Inferno' also released earlier to avoid the clash with Diwali releases, 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Shivaay'. More of a business decision, rather than a catch-it-first chance, no?
