california: A cat, who saved her owner’s four-year-old son from being mauled by a dog, will throw the first pitch at a baseball game next week.

The Bakersfield Blaze, a minor league Californian team, said Tara would be honoured at Tuesday’s game

The Bakersfield Blaze, a minor league Californian team, posted on their Twitter account that the fearless cat, Tara, will be honoured at next Tuesday’s game with the first pitch.

Pitch perfect
The team’s spokesman, Dan Besbris said that the team has a trick up their sleeves to help the cat complete a pitch, unless it freaks out and runs off.

Jeremy Triantafilo was riding his cycle in his parents’ home driveway in Bakersfield, California, when a neighbour’s eight-month-old Labrador-Chow mix ran up from behind and attacked him.

However, out of nowhere, Tara flew at the dog and sent it packing. Tara became a celebrity overnight.
