Actor Himanshu Malik who made a promising debut with Anubhav Sinha’s Tum Bin and is best remembered for his film Khwaaish opposite Mallika Sherawat has turned director. His 45-minute film titled QED stars Amit Sial, Rashaana Shah and Pravishi Das. However, the actor-turned-director himself is not part of the cast.
Himanshu says, “I was not happy with the offers coming my way as they were extremely mundane and boring. So I started writing and I enjoying the process. I asked why not take this ahead?” The director had his fair share of troubles too while making the film. He points out, “The lead actor disappeared and didn’t come back.
The girls in my film called Amit who was shopping somewhere in Lokhandwala. He came, read the script and within 15 minutes he was shooting. He hit me like a jolt of lighting.” Himanshu is planning to do the festival rounds with his project and then make maximum people watch the film. He explains, “In the West, we will show the film on pay-per-view.”
