Juhi Chawla makes her foray into Hollywood with 'The Hundred Foot Journey'. The film, based on American writer Richard C Morais’ book of the same name, is about an Indian chef who makes his mark in the haute cuisine of France.
Directed by Lasse Hallstrom, it is being produced by Steven Spielberg and Reliance Entertainment. Om Puri and Helen Mirren feature in the film and now Juhi has been added to the cast.
When Spielberg was in India earlier this year, he had met several Bollywood actors during his visit. The casting team had suggested a few names and Juhi was on the list.
A source says, “A large portion of the film has already been shot in France. The unit soon moves to Mumbai for a shoot schedule. As Om Puri plays an Indian living in Paris, his portions needed an Indian backdrop -- the reason they will be filming at some locations in Mumbai.
