Be prepared for an extravagant day of fun, joy, knowledge and music as Art Hop is coming to the city for the first time. After its successful stint in Mumbai, the cultural festival is being held in the city, where around 30 performances, 40 workshops and 50 artists will light up your day.

Art Hop will feature workshops, performances and shows by artistes

The festival that includes music, theatre, art, fashion and dance will take place at 14 different venues across the city.
Informing further about it, festival director, Aalok Aswani said, “The idea behind this festival is to hop around many places in one day to experience art. People usually spend their weekends going out and watching a movie. But through Art Hop, we have decided to bring all forms of art together and give a remarkable day to Puneites. We have put up this show so that people will get to know about the new and upcoming local artists and watch renowned artistes at the same time.”

There are 20 workshops taking place in the festival ranging from photography, Hip-Hop, theatre, improv comedy and haiku writing to Zumba sessions. Children can also expect a joyous day filled with puppet shows, art classes, face-painting, hula-hooping and more.

Talking about prime attractions of the festival, Aswani said, “The bikers’ group from the city will be displaying 20 superbikes. There are Sufi music performances and art exhibitions as well. Moreover to hop around the various venues we have a free cab service that will drop the spectators to various workshops, events and gigs.”

Valid for all the performances, activities, workshops through the day Art Hop has one pass that costs Rs 500 per person while children below 8 years of age can enjoy free of cost. So this Sunday, don’t be a bore; hop on and explore.
