In the adjournment motion under Rule 310, Bapat said the recent incident of dacoity at a jewellery shop in a busy area of the city like Laxmi Road had created fear in the minds of residents.
Bapat said incidents of chain-snatching, crimes against senior citizens and rising robberies and murders in the suburbs had led to a feeling of discontent over the deteriorating law and order situation across the city. He said the government should immediately hold a discussion on the matter in the House.u00a0
