Several of us aspire to be like superheroes or warlords from our favourite video games. And costume play or cosplay helps fulfill some of those dreams. With the second edition of Mumbai Film and Comics Convention on December 22, now is the time to source all your props and materials for the dream character you wishu00a0to impersonate.

You might feel that sourcing those spandex tights or a pink wig for your favourite Manga character can be quite a task. But, the Mumbai Anime Club is here to help you don war paint and bring along a few props too.

“The most difficult thing to source is a wig. So, at the workshop we’ll teach how to use your regular wigs and style them too. Another important aspect is sourcing your materials — be it cloth or plastic and wood for your props — and then getting a tailor to stitch it for you,” says Darren Andrade, head of the club.

The workshop will also cover make-up tips and as Andrade says, “developing an attitude of your character.” And before Comic Con, cosplay enthusiasts can also look forward to the Vikhroli Skin Project, which will be held at Godrej India Culture Lab and will include cosplay fashion shows and even performances.

ON Today, 6 pm to 7.30 pm
AT Leaping Windows Cafe, 3, Corner View, off Yari Road, opposite Bianca Tower, Versova, Andheri (W).u00a0
