Though users can have WhatsApp Beta and the common WhatsApp installed in their devices at the same time, yet it is good to avoid so, because it might create confusion and disruption during use.
WhatsApp Beta is only for Window 8.1 and Windows 10 mobile phones. Those with an older version of Windows phone, will not be able to access the feature. WhatsApp Beta can also come with virus, so think before you install the app.
