It's often the case in Bollywood when a film's director and its makers clash over taking major decisions over their project

However, Karan Johar says that as a filmmaker, he is not one of them. However, the director-producer states that when it comes to making the final decisions over the music of his film, it is he and he alone who takes the final call.

Says Karan, “This year will be quite crazy as I have back-to-back productions. I choose those directors to helm my project in whom I have complete faith. After reading the script, I leave it completely in the hands of my director till the final states where I need to appear in the picture. But that said, I am extremely conscious about the music.”

However instead of taking a decision alone, Karan says he prefers to hear out the opinion of his director as well as the musicians when it comes to finalising the music. He says, “Music is very important when it comes to the commerce of cinema. But I am open to debate and discussion. Otherwise, I never drop by on the sets when the film is being shot. I see the final cut and give my suggestions.”
