'I am not sure if he likes me...'

Dear Diana,
I have fallen in love with this guy, but I am not sure if he likes me. I met him at a friend's birthday party recently. We had gone for a picnic to Lonavala to celebrate our common pal's birthday and he dropped me home in the night. I am comfortable with him and can talk to him about anything. I also saw him looking at me many times. Our eyes would cross and he would smile at me. As I have just got to know him, I don't want to get too involved and freak him out. I have had a broken relationship, so do not want to get hurt again. But I really want this one to last. How do I gauge if he cares for me or not? We have exchanged cell numbers. Should I make a call or send him a SMS? What should I do? I really do not know what to tell him. Ever since I have met him, I keep thinking of him. I think I have found love again.

Dear Leera,
It looks like you have already started planning a life with him even before knowing him well. First, check with the common pal about him. What if there is someone on his scene? Just because he dropped you home and smiled at you does not mean anything. You may have fallen for him, but does he care for you? Perhaps he does, but finds himself in the same situation you are in. He also may not know how to make the first move. Your common pal can help by arranging a meeting. At the same time, do not rush into the relationship to avoid ending up being hurt again. You can send him a text message saying a hello or whats app snapshots from the birthday party. If he is interested, he will reply pronto. You then need to spend time with him to gauge what kind of a person he really is. So first strike a conversation with him.

Diana will solve it!
