Talking about her experience, Vidya, who is now busy reading one script a day at home after finishing two films Pa and Ishqiya, both slated to release in a couple of months, says, "Three Brothers and a Violin were working on the project. They approached me to do the voiceover. I agreed because I have always been associated with children." Vidya is connected to Nanhi Kali, an NGO that works with underprivileged children's education. The NGO also helps out with school uniforms, raincoats and one meal a day.

About her association with Nanhi Kali, the actress says that she got involved with various NGOs during college because the students were required to work with the underprivileged.

Vidya hopes she can help introduce Karadi Tales audio CDs in different Nanhi Kali schools as an effective medium of education. "After all, it doesn't take much for us to contribute a little money to help build these children's lives," says the actress.
