I recently cut off all ties with my guy. Well, there was nothing official about him but we used to hang out together, call and SMS each other throughout the day. We realised we were heading no where, so decided to go our ways. After having him around for the past two years, it hasn't been easy to get over him. I do miss him, and find myself thinking about whatever he told me. Is this just me getting used to his absence? How long does it take to forget about someone, who was once a part of your life?

As they say, time heals all wounds. It will take months, even years. But it all depends how eager you are to move on in life and forget the past. As you spent most of your waking moments with him, it is obvious that you will remember him, his every word, every gesture. Chances are that you might even regret breaking off. But now all that is the past, so you need to get on with your life. Just remember he was not worth it, so why mope about someone who wasn't worth your love?
