I am 21 years old and my boyfriend is 25. We have been going out for six months. He says it is time that I get in bed with him. I don't want to as I am not really ready for it yet. Holding hands, hugging and kissing is okay butu00a0 beyond that I have my reservations at this stage of our relationship. How do I tell him I don't want to without hurting him? Will it upset him?

Dear VM,
If he really loves you, he will understand and respect your sentiments. Just tell him you don't want to do it and that you are not comfortable about it. I am sure this is not going to hurt his feelings. If he still insists, you will have to explain why you feel in such a manner. Tell him you are not yet ready for it yet.
