"I am the proudest woman in the world seeing how he has spoken from the heart, and I love him even more for that," Markham said yesterday.

Markham entered his life after Vincent's divorce with Elly Eleanor Riley, who testified before the ICC and ECB investigators.

Markham claimed that she came to know about Vincent's involvement months into their relationship, but was not shocked to hear his revelations. "I wasn't shocked because I always knew Lou wasn't happy inside and I insisted he come clean on this entire matter," she said.

Ex-wife's testimony
Markham also has no qualms about Vincent's ex-wife giving testimony. "I think investigators should seek help from anyone who is willing to testify," she said.

She claimed that Vincent is now working towards starting life afresh and is eager to banish sordid memories of the match-fixing saga.
