Ecstatic after making a comeback to the Indian Test team after two years, off-spinner Harbhajan Singh yesterday said he is now confident of figuring in the playing XI in the one-off Test against Bangladesh from June 10-14 in Fatullah.

"I know that many did not believe that I could make a comeback, but I always knew I would. The last two years have been very hard for me. I was upset as cricket is my life. I thank the Almighty for giving me the opportunity again," Harbhajan, who has taken 413 wickets in 101 Tests told mid-day yesterday.

With Harbhajan's inclusion alongside Ravichandran Ashwin, the Indian team will be traveling to Bangladesh with two off-spinners and there could be a possibility that only one would be picked for the Test.

However, Harbhajan is confident he will play: "I am not bothered whether we will play with two or three spinners. I only know that I will be in the playing XI. I am confident of playing the Test and for me, that is important," added the 34-year-old.

Though Harbhajan felt that India should have the upper hand, he warned against taking the Bangladeshis lightly. "Bangladesh have a good balanced side.

They will be playing at home and have been playing some good cricket recently. But we are the favourites as we have a full-strength team going there," said Harbhajan, who last played for India against Australia at Hyderabad in March 2013.

Harbhajan has had a fine outing this far in the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians, claiming 16 wickets in 14 matches.

Harbhajan said he got the news of his selection through TV channels while he was in his hotel room in Mumbai, where MI are currently put up after beating Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier 1 on Tuesday at Wankhede to enter the final.

He later got a call from chairman of selectors Sandeep Patil. However, he was unable to share the good news with his family immediately after learning of his selection.

"I tried ringing my family to give them the good news, but the number was busy for long. Maybe, some friends and relatives were calling to congratulate them," he said. India will also play three ODIs in Mirpur, on June 18, 21 and 24.
