Though he has been co-hosting the IIFA over the past five years, this time Boman Irani will be travelling to Singapore to be part of the annual Bollywood gala, just as a member of the audience.
Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar have taken over the dais this year from Boman and Riteish Deshmukh. However, Boman seems to be the least bit perturbed with it. In fact, he is happy to be there especially since his upcoming film will be showcased at the event.
Boman says, “As of now, I’m very tied up with promotional work since I’ve got two releases coming up soon. So, in any case, I wouldn’t have had time for preparations required to host something of this magnitude. I’ll be sitting among the audiences, relaxing and enjoying the show for a change.”
The actor’s also excited about being nominated in the very category he won back in 2010 for 3 Idiots. “I’m glad to be nominated for best performance in the negative role and I’m looking forward to the result,” Boman concludes.
