Organisers are receiving hordes of questions, some funny ones too, from people who want to be prepared in advance for the fair at Pragati Maidan
The India International Trade Fair (IITF) fans have begun thronging the fair, in the virtual world we mean. The Facebook page of the 31st IITF is a 'super like' among the visitors as they hit the site for an array of queries, including where to shop, how to go about the food stalls, among others.
Losing yourself: Many people roam about clueless of where to go and
for what items. The Facebook page has been set up, and is quite
attentive, so that people can ask questions concerning the fair. File Pic
In one of the queries posted on the page, Abhinav Rana, a marketing professional based in Mumbai wrote, "I will be in Delhi this week, want to visit the fair. Is there an arrangement like a cloak room for people coming from outside the city to keep their stuff while they are inside the fair?"
All the queries about the event, however, are being handled by the computer section of IITF, which is offering speedy responses to customer queries. Another trade fair enthusiast, Anurag Sharma, wrote, "Where to buy new or upcoming innovative stuff, electronic gadgets etc at the fair?"
"Where will the best, or most popular food be available, which state and country's food stall is a must-visit for food lovers," wrote one Deepak Kumar.

P C Sharma, general manager, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), on the rising popularity of the page, said, "The Facebook page has been introduced for the first time. It was done keeping in mind the huge number of people roaming about clueless and coming up to us with small, and sometimes funny queries."
