If you are a shoe lover, it’s time to loosen your purse strings as footwear blog, The Sole Sisters, is out with their first collection of sandals
“It was a natural progression from the blog,” says Chondamma Cariappa, founder of The Sole Sisters. The footwear blog hasrecently launched its maiden footwear collection, titled The Ikat Collection.

“I had always planned to start The Sole Sisters’ line of shoes. I wanted to design and create the kind of footwear I would love to wear,” adds Cariappa.
The collection comprises sandals, each of which are made from 100% genuine leather with hand-tied and hand-dyed Ikat fabric.
“There are two designs on offer currently. Each design is available in four colours. They are a limited edition series and are made to order,” says Cariappa, adding that she used Ikat because she loves its asymmetrical, graphic and random patterns, which look beautiful. “No two sandals, even in the same colour end up looking the same,” states Cariappa.
Both designs are priced at R1,800. “Having just launched the shoes, they will be available for the next two months,” she signs off.
