In a bid to promote folk singing talent, inextlive.com, the web portal of Jagran group's compact daily inext, launched iktara yesterday. The initiative will provide the much-needed opportunity to talented folk singers to reach out to people and showcase their talent.
iktara jury, comprising noted folk singers like Malini Awasthi, Kalpana Patowary, Sangeeta Dhoundiyal, Nandlal Nayak and Mukund Nayak, will select the winners after two rounds of evaluation process. Besides, the victors and their composition would share space on inextlive.com.
To participate, one can register online on www.inextlive.com/iktara or can record a folk song in his/her voice and send the CD to iktara contest, inext, 9th Floor, Krishna Tower, Civil Lines, Kanpur - 208001
