Bubaneswara: In a fit of anger, a man allegedly threw acid on seven of his family members, including four daughters, in the slum pocket of Dhirkuti yesterday.
According to police, Sura Behera was asked by one of his two wives to take their daughter, who was suffering from fever, to a hospital when, in a fit of rage, he allegedly threw acid on them.

His two wives, four daughters and father-in-law sustained burn injuries in the attack and had to be hospitalised, police officials said.
Though Behera was arrested, he denied the charge alleging that it was his father-in-law Banamali Behera who threw the acid on his wives and daughters. Investigations are underway, the police said, adding, family dispute is suspected to be reason behind the crime.
