The Indian men's recurve team, consisting of Jayanta Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai and Rahul Banerjee, was beaten by Great Britain in the final of the World Cup archery Stage II meet in Antalya yesterday. Great Britain team won 222-211.
The Indian threesome had 53 in the first end as against Britons’ 58. In the second end of six arrows, the two teams were on equal terms scoring 53 each.
In the third end, India could manage only 52 as against its opponents’ 56. In the fourth and final end, the Indians had 53. Great Britain had 56 to finish with 222.
