There's so much off the pitch that's happening in Indian cricket today that one could be forgiven for forgetting that the national team is away in England, pursuing a commendable performance in the Champions Trophy

India's batting vs Aussie bowlers in second warm-up tie today

MS Dhoni’s men displayed impressive batting form in their previous warm-up game against Sri Lanka, but things could get sticky when they take on Australia in their last warm-up ficture at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff today.

The Aussies have a better bowling attack compared to the Lankans and that’s what the Indian top-order has to be cautious about.

Mitchell Starc (4 for 29) and Clint McKay (3 for 45) picked seven West Indian wickets between them in their warm-up match and the pace duo is just the tip of an Australian iceberg that has genuine pacers like Mitchell Johnson and James Faulkner, who have done well in the recently concluded Indian Premier League.

Today’s game will enable India figure out their batting line-up before the crucial opener against South Africa on June 6.

Even if Dhoni insists that Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay are the ones who should open, equations could change after the game.

Both Dhawan and Vijay had long sessions at the nets yesterday morning under the watchful eyes of coach Duncan Fletcher.u00a0
