India's junior men's hockey team entered the final of second Sultan of Johar Cup here beating New Zealand 3-1 in their fourth league match at the Taman Daya Hockey Stadium yesterday
Mandeep Singh set the ball rolling with his goal in the 19th minute with a shot from the right beat goalkeeper Richard Joyce.
In the 27th minute Harjeet Singh found the target for India while skipper Manpreet Singh scored in the 34th minute putting 3-0 on board till half-time. Benedict Van Woerkom scored the lone goal for NZ (48th minute).

De Nooijer, Taekema set for HIL auction
Holland’s Teun de Nooijer, the most capped player in the world (453 matches) and star drag flicker Taeke Taekema have agreed to play in the franchise-based Hockey India League (HIL). The duo will be part of the players’ auction to be held in December for the HIL next year.
