India leading in coronary artery disease, says study

Asian Heart Institute’s study on beating heart redo bypass surgeries shows that the average number of grafted arteries used per heart patient is 3.7. The world average stands at 2.3. These numbers indicate that the incidence of coronary artery disease in India is higher compared to the West.
