Riding on Vandana Kataria's hattrick, Indian eves handed a 10-1 humbling to Russia en route to entering the quarter-finals of the Women's Junior Hockey World Cup yesterday.

After they lost 1-6 to Australia and the 2-0 win against New Zealand, the Indian girls had to register a win by a large margin against Russia whilst hoping for Australia to either win or draw against New Zealand in the final Pool C match to make it to the knockout stage.

Luckily for them, Australia drew 3-3 against the Kiwis.
