Indian Coast Guard rescues Philipino national

Indian Coast Guard rescues Philipino national

The Indian Coast Guard airlifted an injured Philipino national who was in a critical condition in a ship off the coast of Goa


Indian coast guard maritime rescue co-ordination centre, Mumbai received a message regarding a injured patient in critical condition namely Mr. Alberto Sariano, nationality- Pilipino, belonging to lng vessel Mubaraz on her way to UAE from Japan.



After assessing the condition of patient through communication with the master, the evacuation was undertaken by coast guard helicopter 10 miles off Goa at 1500 hrs on 06 Jan 15. After embarking the patient helicopter returned to Vasco, where he was handed over to the local agent for further medical treatment.

The Indian coast guard once again reiterated through this humanitarian mission as effective service provider of rescue services in compliance to international treaties and also act as guardians of the sea across Indian waters for the seafaring community.
