Indian shuttlers couldn't live upto the expectations in the Thailand Open Grand Prix after top seed Saina Nehwal was unable to justify her top billing with two other Indian men in the fray suffered contrasting defeats in the quarter-finals at Bangkok yesterday.

Nehwal couldn't gauge her Chinese opponentu00a0Xuerui Li's game and lost 13-21 12-21 in a game that lasted for half an hour. The seventh seed shuttler players really well to send back the Indian ace packing.

Earlier world number four Nehwal was unable to fight back as Xuerui won the first gameu00a0 comfortably and nailed the second one in her favor.
