As has been reported, the injured opener Rohit Sharma is set to miss the five-ODI series. Murali Vijay, who was in good nick during the England series is likely to take his place. But it is pretty certain that Ajinkya Rahane will be opening the innings in the company of Shikhar Dhawan.

There has been wide speculation regarding Robin Uthappa's return to the India fold after his impressive outings in IPL and CLT20. However, Uthappa may not be part of the squad. According to sources, the team management is not keen on having him in the squad.
Spinner Karn Sharma is likely to find a place in the squad
On the bowling front, leg-spinner Karn Sharma, who was part of the side in England but didn’t get an ODI is likely to retain his place. That would effectively mean that Amit Mishra who spun a web around the Windies batsman yesterday will be overlooked.
Sandeep Patil & Co are likely to announce the squad for the first three matches since India are playing at home.
Likely squad: MS Dhoni (C) Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Varun Aaron, Mohit Sharma, Ishwar Pandey, Karn Sharma.
