The Indian team management has requested Cricket Australia to ensure more security at the boundary line from the next Test at Perth.

Virat Kohli

The request comes in the wake of a middle finger gesture incident involving young batsman Virat Kohli during the last Test in Sydney. Kohli was heckled by some spectators and responded with the ugly gesture that was captured by cameras.

On Monday, paceman Ishant Sharma was seen making a similar gesture to a fan, who reportedly teased him.
Kohli and Ishant were seen coming back from dinner last night where they meet Ravi Shastri. Later, Shastri told
MiD DAY, "my gut feeling is that India will win the Perth Test and Ishant and Kohli will shine. India will definitely bounce back at Perth."

It is learnt that the team management has warned Kohli and Ishant not to repeat their gestures and decided to solve the problem internally.

Ishant has happy memories of the 2008 Test in Perth when he bowled splendidly. When informed that Zaheer Khan told reporters that, 'Ishant was born in Perth,' Ishant, recalling his spell to Ricky Ponting, replied: "I cannot forget that eight-over spell. It was the best one of my life in which I got Ponting."
