>>> After hearing the news of her break-up with Adhyayan, a concerned Aditya Panscholi called up Kangana to ask how she was doing. However, the response was anything but warm! Kangu asked Aditya to mind his own business and refused to talk to him. Poor Aditya was perhaps nursing ambitions of getting back into her life. But he should've known better!

All is not well between Sonam Kapoor and her Ayesha co-star Abhay Deol. The actor who is learning all kinds of skills (from welding to wood carving) has delayed the shoot of her home production. He was to return a while back and join Sonam in the shoot but the moody Deol is still in the Big Apple while Sonam has started shooting her scenes.

>>>u00a0Papa Roshan is not happy with the outcome of Kites. Let's face it, the man has made some of the biggest hits, and he has a sense of what works, but son Hrithik and director Anurag Basu had their own vision and went ahead with that. So the big question is: will this Kite soar?

Festive fervour

Abhay Deol's Oye Lucky Lucky Oye will have a special screening in New York. Abhay currently staying there will be presenting the film at the Moma Film Festival, in the New India Exhibit a slot that showcases contemporary Indian advances in arts and popular culture.

The Movies I Loved Growing Up
Sujoy Ghosh
Jhankaar Beats and Home Delivery director whose next is the fantasy Aladin, lists the films that made an impact on him...

JUGNU: Very early days. I remember Dharmendra singing a song to Hema Malini and they were in two separate choppers. I thought that was very cool. I wanted to become a pilot and do it. I still do.

GOOPY GYNE BAGHA BYNE: Satyajit Ray had a dance of the ghosts. The most amazing sequence I have seen. I watched with a wide open mouth. For that time it was like one small step for visual effects, etc, etc.

APARAJITO: I saw this a little later in life. And anyone who wants to be a director should see and learn how to tell a story.

SHOLAY: The 70mm slap and when Dharmendra breaks that piece of wood and throws it away? It landed right behind me. Amazing sound!

ARANYER DIN RATRI: Again a little later in life. But the final nail to the plaque. Ray is the greatest film director EVER.

Good going

Three episodes down of the second season of 10 Ka Dum and the verdict is now clear Sallu has improved by leaps and bounds in his show as compared to his first outing last year.

The actor is looking relaxed, cool and confident as he takes on his celeb guests. And it is clear that he is mouthing his own lines. In the last season, he was a tad stiff and conscious, but now no longer. We like!

Car woes

Payal Rohatgi's car got wrecked in an accident and was sent to a garage for two months for repairs. As a result, she had to move around in a rented car. But that only lasted for a few days, as she has now bought a new car.

Payal thought this was the end of her problems. But she was denied permission to park in her compound as she'd misplaced her society parking papers.

It was mommy dearest who cut short her holiday and came back to hunt for the lost documents. Now order has been restored in her life. And we thought only Rahul Mahajan led a dramatic life!

Lucky charm

Deepika Padukone has becomeu00a0 popular in the international magazine circles. After being the cover girl for several Swiss magazines, she appeared in South American mags.

A memento that Deepika savours from her trip to Peru for the shoot is a lucky charm bracelet gifted to her by the locals. She says, "It's made of precious stones like rubies and garnets.

It's a replica of the Inca lines and is quite rare. The bracelet is my favourite souvenir from my trips abroad."

Coffee and Gulaal

Raj Singh Chaudhary who starred as well as penned the story of Gulal has put together a coffee table book on Anurag Kashyap's film.

"The idea stemmed from the fact that instead of giving a CD of photographs to the people involved with the film why not have a book of pictures.

And then if you have a book of pictures why not have some written stuff along with it. So Jay Krishna, a design student and me got down to making it.
u00a0
From a book of pictures it has now become a coffee table book with Anurag's note, write-ups from the cinematographer, sound designers, actors, editor and art director.

There is also trivia, incidents that happened on the set, technical stuff and non-working stills too."
