For young India fast bowler Varun Aaron, it's frustrating to miss the Australia tour after being ruled out due to stress reaction in his back. He will be replaced by Karnataka medium pacer R Vinay Kumar.
"I have got a stress reaction in my back and that's why I won't be a part of the Test squad," a disappointed Aaron told PTI over phone from his Pune residence. The 22-year-old fast bowler will start his rehabilitation process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore. "I have sustained this injury during the ODI series and I have now been advised complete rehabilitation.
I will be leaving for Bangalore on Monday to undergo complete rehabilitation in my bid to get completely fit," he said. The youngster didn't hide his disappointment over losing out on the opportunity to don the India colours in such an important tour. "Obviously, it is disappointing as I was looking forward to this tour," he said.
He, however, couldn't specify a time limit for recovery. "I don't know yet about what will be the duration of my rehabilitation, but I believe it's nothing very serious," he hoped. Despite the setback, the Jharkhand pacer is not losing hope of representing India in the Commonwealth Bank tri-series, also involving Sri Lanka. "I will definitely try to get fit by then," he said.
