It was reported a few days ago that Shaleen Bhanot, who plays Duryodhana in Suryaputra Karn, was injured twice on the sets of the daily soap. However, things got worse when the actor realised that he was treated by a quack doctor. While shooting for a horse riding sequence last week, Bhanot suffered his first injury. Says the actor, “I sustained a cervical injury during the shoot as horse riding puts a lot of pressure on the spine.”

Five days later, the actor endured another injury whereby a wound that he had sustained while filming a sword fight sequence turned septic. However, little did the actor know that his misery had just begun. According to the actor, the doctor, who gave him a tetanus shot, wasn’t qualified. “I only realised that he was a quack doctor once we spoke about my injury. He told me that he isn’t a qualified doctor, but was practising for the last 35 years.”
