>> He is the captain for Spanish football club FC Barcelona.

>> He is a versatile player usually playing as left midfielder or central midfielder.

>> He made his first team debut for Barcelona at age 18.

>> He was part of the Barcelona team that won a historic 6 trophies in 2009 - La Liga, Champions League, Copa del Rey, Supercopa de Espana, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

>> He has so far played a total of 591 matches for Barcelona, the third highest for the club.

>> He scored the only goal in the 2010 World Cup final against Netherlands to help Spain lift their first ever FIFA WC title.
