Indian Oil and Western Railway won the men's and women's titles respectively at the 35th Annual WCG rink hockey tournament organised by the Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana. Indian Oil overcame a stiff challenge from Western Railway to win 6-5 and take home the prize money of Rs 75,000.
Olympian Deepak Thakur was the hero of the final scoring four times for IOCL. In the women's final, WR beat arch-rivals Central Railway 5-2. Rijuta Mullick was the star of WR's victory having scored three goals, while teammate Sanghai Chanu netted twice.
