Karun Nair slams 59-ball 83 while Carlos Brathwaite claims 2-27 as Delhi Daredevils beat Sunrisers Hyderabad to brighten Top-4 chances
Karun Nair’s unbeaten 59-ball 83 helped Delhi Daredevils beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium here yesterday.
With this win, Delhi stay in contention for a berth in the play-offs with 14 points in 13 matches.

The match went down to the wire as Daredevils chased the 159-run target on the final ball of the innings.

Nair was well-supported by Rishabh Pant (32 off 26 balls) after the hosts lost opener Quinton de Kock for just two in the second over. The duo added 73 runs for the second wicket.
Pacer Barinder Sran was the pick of the bowler for Sunrisers with two wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman bagged one.
Earlier, David Warner struck yet another half-century to guide Sunrisers to 158-7. Skipper Warner led from the front and struck eight boundaries and a six in his 56-ball knock of 73.
This was Warner’s eight fifty in the ongoing edition of IPL.
Carlos Brathwaite picked up two wickets for 27 runs in his four-over spell, while JP Duminy and Nathan Coulter-Nile picked one wicket each for Daredevils.
