If reports are to be believed, television viewership for the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League is at an all time low as compared to previous editions.

However, back in the Caribbean, there’s quite a lot of interest in the IPL, claimed Delhi Daredevils’ West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell.u00a0“IPL is the next big thing after the World Cup, I feel. Back home, everyone is keen to know what’s happening here. There is a lot of interest. IPL is like EPL (English Premier League football). Everyone wants to know about it,” said Russell on the sidelines of a training session at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.

Delhi Daredevils take on Mumbai Indians on Monday and Russell is well aware what compatriot and MI’s star all-rounder Kieron Pollard did in the last match — 33-ball 64 and four wickets as MI beat Rajasthan Royals by 27 runs. “Kieron is a strong man and a very dangerous player. It’s important to get him out soon,” said Russell, who is yet to get a game in this edition of the tournament.u00a0
