Irrfan Khan, righteously known for his natural performance on screen, who was last seen in Dan Brown's Robert Langdon thriller, 'Inferno', is now prepped for his new film 'The Song of Scorpion'. Earlier in 2015, it was reported that Irrfan is doing a film with the actress-musician Golshifteh Farahani, which is finally to release this year in June.

The film is said to be directed by Anup Singh, where Irrfan will be seen playing the role of a camel trader, and Golshifteh as a healer of any pain by music. Thus, making music was an integral part of the film. Irrfan has a great knack for world music be it any genre. He believes every music represents an emotion.

He had always wanted to be a part of a music-based film, that would help him further his fondness. In 2013, he declared his urge to do a film that would suffice his musical desires, perhaps even give him an opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument, maybe a saxophone even. Reportedly, 'Song of the Scorpion' has seven songs which have been composed along and will be released with the film.

Now the latest news is that two of these songs were recorded by live inhabitant musicians in the deserts of Jaisalmer adding a sense of affiliation to the whole scene. The songs include locals and was shot instinctively under freezing temperatures.

Waheeda Rahman and Shashank Arora will also be playing crucial roles. The film consists of a tinge of Rajasthani language which has been shot for long hours on the golden sands of Thar Desert. Since Irrfan belongs to Rajasthan, it was incredibly reviving for him, and surely might've left him reminiscing. What's left for us to see is the wonders it brings along with his passionate work to life - in the movie! Before which, on 12th May, 'Hindi Medium', another of Irrfan's release, is to stun us. Well, here's to some movies we are already looking forward to this year!
