Close on the heels of rumours of her alleged closeness with Anurag Kashyap, comes the buzz that Huma Qureshi has grown fond of her 'Dedh Ishqiya' director Abhishek Chaubhey. Could it be a publicity stunt for her next ufffd overtime?
Rumours of Huma Qureshi’s alleged romance with her Gangs of Wasseypur director Anurag Kashyap first surfaced during the promotions of the film. Adding fuel to the fire, a tabloid recently wrote about their special bonding over plates of biryani. However, the grapevine is buzzing with rumours that Huma has now developed a sudden liking for her Dedh Ishqiya director Abhishek Chaubhey.

Recently however Kalki Koechlin slammed rumours of her troubled marriage with Anurag and instead stated in no uncertain terms how they were still together, as reported in ‘Wedding wows’ (HitList, April 2, 2013).
A source says, “Huma and Abhishek met on the sets of her upcoming film where she co-stars with Emraan Hashmi. Abhishek is the creative producer of the project and Huma will also be starring in the director’s next. Abhishek attended the book launch event for Huma’s next recently and that’s when the rumours gained momentum.”
It would be natural to wonder if all this is a mere cover-up act to shift focus from the ongoing speculations about Huma and Anurag’s special closeness. Then again it could be a promotional tactic to garner eyeballs for her upcoming project.
The source adds, “After the rave reviews for her last few films and some big banner projects coming up, Huma could also be the new target of gossipmongers.”
