Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who has an extended cameo in the upcoming film 'Roy', is apparently irked by the makers giving him prominence in the posters
If the industry grapevine is to be believed, the first look of Roy has not gone down well with Ranbir Kapoor. Sources said the actor, who has a short role in the film, is unhappy that the makers are promoting it as a regular RK-starrer . So much so that he declined to attend the trailer launch though he was very much in town.
Industry insiders suggest that he has decided not to promote the film or speak to the media regarding it.
“Roy is essentially an Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez film but the way it is being projected — giving Ranbir unwanted prominence in the posters — is funny. In fact, it is misleading. Ranbir has not spoken about the film which is a tell-tale sign,” a source says, adding that the film is slated for a February release.
Ranbir is said to have taken up the project as the director Vikramjit Singh is his childhood friend. The actor, however, chose not to respond on this issue.
