Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has alleged that the international firm forged the signature of its chief to avoid legal hassles




Srinivas Trust, owner of the commercial building that the company has taken on rent at Whitefield, has filed a cheating and forgery complaint with the Vyyalikaval police station.

The company in question is an Indian arm of a major international firm that manufactures laptops and desktops


ML Chandraiah, representative of the trust said that with regard to vacating the premises and the formalities, there is a dispute over the issue and has been adjudicated before the sole arbitrator, Justice M P Chinnappa, a retired high court judge.

During the arbitration, the IT major submitted two new documents. Among them, was a document titled 'Agreement for security deposit' with Adikeshavalu's signature. Adikeshavalu, who is into the liquor business is also a politician, having successfully contested elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Upon verification, the signature was found to be forged. "This has been done for an ulterior motive to cheat," Chandraiah said, adding that Adikeshavalu held positions in several trusts, institutions and business firms and forging his signature could damage his image.

Inspector Abdul Khadar from the Vyyalikaval police station said that the documents have been sent for verification to ascertain forgery. "We have filed a case of cheating and forgery, and will take necessary action once we get a full report report," he told MiD DAY.

A company spokesperson expressed ignorance about the incident. "This is news to me. I'll get back to you once I have more details," he said.u00a0 No other response was available from the company despite repeated calls and sending emails, until the time of going to press.
