Cyclonic activity
B Puttana, director, Metrological Department, Bangalore, said, "There is cyclonic activity in the Arabian Sea. A low-pressure system has formed. It'll hit Kerala before making its way to our state by June 7."
Raje Gowda, a professor at the Agriculture University also said, "The rains will arrive on time.

Dr Pendulkar Anand said it was time Bangaloreans paid attention to hygiene. "I would suggest those who fall ill often get themselves vaccinated."
On a lighter note, Prasad Bidappa, the fashion guru, said one need not look dowdy during the rains.
