I Am Number Four is a new sci-fi film from the director of Eagle Eye & Disturbia D J Caruso and is based on the popular book of the same name co-written by James Frey.
The shooting of the film commenced before the first volume from Frey and co-author Jobie Hughes had even been published.
Alex Pettyfer (Beastly), Dianna Agron (Glee), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer's Apprentice), Callan McAuliffe (Flipped) and Timothy Olyphant (The Crazies) star.
The film tells the story of nine teen aliens who are sent to Earth to hide from their enemies. These nine aliens can only be killed in numerical order and with the first three already dead, John Smith (Pettyfer) has just learned that he is Number Four. Iu00a0Am Number Four releases february 2011.
Here's the tale
I Am Number Four follows an extraordinary teen fugitive John Smith (Pettyfer) who is on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past.
In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events -- his first love (Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny. Now, along with his love -- Sarah, they must team up with Number Six (Palmer) and learn how to unlock his secret powers, if they have any chance of survival.
