Jharkhand board (JAC) came into existence after the state of Jharkhand was born in November 2000. The school board of education sited in Jharkhand is referred as JAC. JAC was set up under Jharkhand State Legislature and assented to by the Governor of the State as per the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Act 02.7.2003.

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is accountable for providing eminence education to the students, prescribing syllabus and looking after the whole on goings processes as regards to examination.
JAC – Jharkhand Academic Council used to conduct Jharkhand board exam every year in the month of March. In similar manner JAC board has conducted JAC 12th Class board exam in March 2014. Lakhs of students had appeared for the Jharkhand Board (JAC) 12th Class Exams 2014, JAC Intermediate Exam 2014 conducted amid 21st Feb’2014 till 13th March’2014.
